Children’s dental clinic website that turns a booking into one WhatsApp message

A site for a children’s dental clinic in Medan, written for parents: prices that show where each treatment starts, a three-step booking that writes the WhatsApp message with the child’s name and age, a weekly schedule for five dentists, a first-visit guide to read with the child, and first aid for a knocked-out tooth.

Challenge

Many parents only take a child to the dentist once a tooth hurts, and a scared child makes that first visit harder for everyone. Clinic sites in Indonesia often show a WhatsApp button and little else, so parents ask the same questions in the chat: what it costs, which dentist sees small children and whether they can stay in the room. Health advertising is also bound by Permenkes 1787/2010, which rules out superlatives and patient testimonials.

Solution

We designed a cheerful look that still reads clearly for parents: cobalt blue, lime and peach, rounded DynaPuff headings with Nunito for the text, and a treatment room drawn for the site with a giraffe height chart, fish swimming on the ceiling screen and a tooth mascot called Gigi. The header shows whether the clinic is open right now, in WIB.

Every treatment is listed with a duration and a starting price, in three groups: everyday care, when a tooth needs help, and growing up. Booking takes three choices: a treatment, a dentist (or the first available) and a free slot in the coming week. The page then writes the WhatsApp message with the child’s name and age, a first-visit flag and notes such as "nervous about the dentist" or "two children back to back".

The first visit is explained minute by minute so parents can read it with their child the night before, and they can tick comfort requests like a favourite toy, sunglasses for the lamp or a hand signal for stop. A quiet visit for children with autism or sensory needs can be booked with one button. A first-aid guide covers a knocked-out adult or baby tooth, and an insurance checker covers BPJS Kesehatan and cashless partners.

Behind the scenes

techfree slots and the opening status are calculated from the schedule and the current time in WIB

no "painless" promises, and the first-aid steps follow the IADT dental trauma guidelines
